Help support families in Bristol with essentials for babies and mums this winter.
This winter is going to be tough for many families. 1 in 5 children in Bristol live in income deprived families, and the ongoing cost-of-living crisis means additional pressure on families already struggling.
Referrals to our service are increasing. On average we support 40 families a week, but around this time of year we always see an increase in the number of families referred.
Last winter we had our busiest ever week for referrals, 76 in one week. This October our amazing team of volunteers packed more orders than we have ever packed in a week since we began in 2015 – 69 bundles for families in Bristol!
As well as redistributing preloved items, we also give out over 1000 toiletry packs for mums and babies each year. A pack costs £20 on average and can include: baby wipes, nappy cream and sacks, soap, shampoo, toothbrush and paste, flannels, cotton wool, baby grooming set, lip balm, hand cream, nipple cream, maternity and breast pads.
With your support, we can: provide essentials for children 0-5 years; help keep children safe and well; ease the burden on families already struggling; and relieve some of the anxiety that comes with having a newborn.

The Big Give #Christmas Challenge!
This year for the first time Baby Bank Network Bristol took part in The Big Give #ChristmasChallenge between 2 November – 5 December.
Thanks to the generosity of our supporters we exceeded our £8000 target and raised £10,055 through donations and match funding.*

Host a toiletries collection drive in your place of work or worship, school, playgroup, or community venue.
The more good quality toiletries donated to us, the less we need to buy, meaning funds can be spent on other running costs to support families.

- Set-up your donation point (sack, box or bag) – use Christmas decorations to catch people’s attention!
- Book a time to deliver toiletry donations to our warehouse in Fishponds before 19 December 2023.
