Ways you can get involved
Our partners play a vital part in our fundraising activities which help keep our service running to support families across Bristol.
There are lots of fun and interesting ways you and your colleagues can get involved in fundraising – from taking part in the Great Bristol Run (or another challenge event), organising a bake sale or quiz night to holding a non-uniform or fancy dress day!
Take a look at some ideas on our fundraising page or come up with your own!
If you are planning on organising a fundraising activity in aid of Baby Bank Network, please get in touch as soon as possible to discuss your ideas, so that we can advise you of any fundraising regulations you may need to follow, provide branded materials and make sure we thank you on our social media.
Payroll Giving (sometimes known as Give as You Earn) is an easy and tax-efficient way of making regular donations to your favourite charities straight from your gross pay. By donating to Baby Bank Network Bristol through Payroll Giving there is no income tax liability on your donation and you will pay less tax.
The tax relief you get depends on the rate of tax you pay. For example, a £10.00 donation will only cost you £8.00 if you’re a basic rate taxpayer (less if you pay the higher tax rate or are an additional rate taxpayer). That means you can consider increasing your donation because you are paying less tax.
Talk to your employer today about Payroll Giving, set-up a regular donation and share with your colleagues!
February is #payrollgivingmonth so it’s a great time to talk to your employer or share with colleagues about Payroll Giving. To find out more about how to set-up Payroll Giving visit www.payrollgivingmonth.
Donations of gifts in kind are an important part of many of our partnerships, and there are lots of ways you, your colleagues and your employer can support through donating items we can pass onto the families we support.
This could be hosting a permanent toiletries donation point in your workplace, or organising a toiletries drive, purchasing items from our Amazon Gift List or For Common Good wishlist, or donating surplus stock such as cot mattresses, toiletries, nappies, clothing or other baby items we need.

Each year we invite supporters to join our Great Bristol Run Team and help
raise vital funds for Baby Bank Network. You can take part in a 10k or a half marathon or join in with your children in the Mini or Junior runs.
Taking on a challenge is a great way to raise funds for Baby Bank Network and support families in your community whilst having some fun and staying healthy.
We welcome everyone from seasoned runners to those starting out on their running journey!
Please e-mail us at events@babybanknetwork.com for details.
Looking for a meaningful team building experience that makes a real difference to families in Bristol? Baby Bank Network offers team volunteering days at our hub in Fishponds.
Whether you’re looking to build team morale, give back to the local community as part of your corporate social responsibility (CSR), or would just like to do something a bit different together we would love to hear from you.
If coming to our warehouse isn’t feasible, you can organise team volunteering at your premises and still support Baby Bank Network. Please get in touch to discuss.
We also welcome pro-bono support from partners to help improve and develop our service. If your team have skills or training that may assist our team, we would love to hear from you.
Please read our Corporate Volunteering Information Pack and contact our Fundraising & Partnerships Manager at partnerships@babybanknetwork.com to discuss how you can get involved.

For the last few years we have been lucky enough to take part in the Big Give Christmas Challenge, whereby financial donations made to our appeal page during campaign week have been doubled!
We also ask businesses, schools, nurseries and other organisations to host toiletry drives in their venues or workplaces to help us provide mums and babies with toiletries to keep them clean and comfy.
For further information please visit our website in October, sign-up to our newsletter for updates, or contact us at partnerships@babybanknetwork.com
We are always open to new ideas about how we can work together with businesses, schools, nurseries, organisations and other charities to support the families referred to our service.
We can provide presentations about our work, branded resources and information about fundraising regulations for your activities and events. We also love to thank and highlight the generosity of our partners across our communications channels if you would like us to.
Please read our partner with us information pack and get in touch with Sian our Fundraising & Partnerships Manager to discuss your ideas and how we can work together: partnerships@babybanknetwork.com
