Chair of Trustees
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated individual to join our small Bristol-based charity as Chair of our Board of Trustees.
At Baby Bank Network, we are committed to helping young families thrive through the power of community support and the efforts of our volunteers. Earlier this year we supported our 10,000th family in Bristol after seeing demand for our services grow year on year, leading to expansion of our own staff and volunteer numbers.
Our current chair's term ends in April 2025 and we are looking for a someone who shares our drive and passion to make a difference to Bristol families, despite the fundraising challenges facing the charities sector.
You do not need to have charities experience to apply for this role, and we welcome applicants who think their life and/ or professional experience has given them the skills and attributes to lead the group of trustees and meet our goals. We encourage candidates who can help increase the diversity of the Board so as to make our organisation more inclusive, especially those who have an interest in making a difference to the lives of families in Bristol.
The Board meets approximately every 6 weeks, usually in the evening and via MS Teams or in person.
Further information, a role description and details of how to apply can be found here.
Trustee Treasurer
We are seeking a dynamic finance professional to work as part of our Board and welcome applicants from those who may not yet have worked with a charity or Board.
As Treasurer, as well as general governance, you will have specific responsibilities to oversee and support our CEO to present budgets, accounts, reports and financial statements to the Trustees. You will contribute actively to the Board of Trustees' role in giving financial direction to the organisation including overseeing financial policy, goals, targets and evaluating performance against agreed targets as we launch our new 5 year growth strategy.
We encourage candidates who can help increase the diversity of the Board so as to make our organisation more inclusive, especially those who have an interest in making a difference to the lives of families in Bristol.
The Board meets approximately every 6 weeks, usually in the evening and via MS Teams or in person. You may also have other ad hoc tasks to be undertaken in between meetings to provide advice and guidance to the leadership team on specific issues and projects and from time to time we ask Trustees to support the charity in one off fundraising events.

Warehouse Assistant Volunteer
Demand for our services is increasing and we are looking for more warehouse volunteers to sort donations and prepare items for families. If you are able to volunteer regularly for 2-3 hours a week on weekday mornings, we’d love to hear from you.
Training and support will be provided by the wider team. The most important thing is that we work together to ensure that the charity fulfills its purpose – to meet the needs of those families struggling to afford baby items.
In return we’ll offer an opportunity to:
- Learn new skills or put existing skills to good use
- Gain new experiences
- Meet new people
- Make a real difference to local families in need.
The Warehouse Assistant Volunteer role description can be found here.
