Donating Toiletries

1.1 million children in the UK experience hygiene poverty* – that's 4 children in every classroom.

Children are missing school because they lack basic hygiene essentials that many of us take for granted.  These children report that their mental health, physical wellbeing, social life and education suffer as a result leading to shame, anxiety and depression**.

Most of the families we support receive toiletries as part of their bundle.  We give out more than 1,000 toiletry packs for mums and babies each year.  Between 2015 and March 2026 we gave out 8,666 toiletry packs to families in Bristol.

Each year we spend over £8,000 on toiletries to supplement those generously donated by supporters.  We are always in need of items like nappies, wet wipes, baby shampoo as well as items for mum – see our list below.

• Nappies packaged or loose (We are currently full for size 3 nappies. No pull ups please)
• Wet wipes
• Cotton wool
• Baby shampoo
• Baby bath/soap/wash
• Baby lotion/Baby oil
• Baby hairbrushes/combs
• Baby nail scissors/clippers
• Baby toothbrush/toothpaste
• New sponges/flannels

• Breast Pads
• Toothbrush/toothpaste
• Shampoo/Conditioner
• Shower gel/soap
• Bubble bath
• Sanitary towels/maternity pads
• Lotion/moisturiser

How to donate toiletries

• Donate toiletries at our toiletry donation points around the city – find your nearest point on the map below, and make sure to check the opening times with the venue.
• Organise a toiletries drive at your workplace, school or community venue – read our donating toiletries pack to find out more.
• Donate pre-made toiletry packs – read our donating toiletries pack to find out more.
• Buy and donate toiletries online (and other new items such as small toys, cot mattresses and Moses baskets,) from our For Common Good wish list and Amazon Gift List – they will be delivered directly to our warehouse hub.
